You can't be what you can't see.

As a semi-professional athlete I have seen and experienced obstacles to elite sport. As a teacher I understand the importance of role models. I believe visibility is key to inspiring people to take up active lifestyles and encouraging young women in sport.

This is partly why I utilise social media to tell my story: you can't be what you can't see. Recently, I have also taken on more public speaking opportunities. These have involved discussing my personal journey and obstacles women come up against when participating in mountain sports.
